What will it cost to get a Safety Management System (SMS) for our organisation?

There is no easy answer to this. There is no "one size fits all" solution as the requirements will vary between organisations. Our consultant will meet with you to discuss your requirements and tailor a solution which best meets your needs and considers your available budget.

Our organisation is only small — will a SMS cost us the same as a larger organisation?

This will depend upon the specific requirements that you have. It may suit your organisation to have a more "generic" solution or you may desire to have a completely tailored solution. Once our consultant has ascertained your requirements we will present you with a proposal which will meet these requirement and may detail a number of options for your consideration.

What do I do next?

  1. The first step is for you to contact us by email or telephone to arrange a time for us to discuss your requirements.
  2. At this meeting we will attempt to gain a clear understanding of your requirements and we will discuss some of the options available to you.
  3. Following this, we will capture your requirements in print and send these to you for your ratification. This step is included to ensure that we have clearly understood your requirements and any limitations you may have.
  4. The next step is to send you a detailed proposal outlining our proposed solution to your needs. This solution may have a number of options which you may need to consider.
  5. Once you authorise the proposal we will sit together and determine a timeline to implement the solution.

We are not an aviation company, why should we consider Contrail Solutions?

Although the majority of experience of Contrail Solutions has been gained in the aviation industry there are direct and obvious links with other high risk / high consequence industries. The concept of Safety and its implementation is similar for all industries in this category and this has been well documented.

Our experience has been that exposure to other like-type industries has been enlightening to all parties as there are differing foci or different approaches by each industry group. The aim for all industries (which could include Mining, PetroChemical, Transport (Truck and Rail) and Energy industries) is the same, the path to get there may vary.

Our organisation does not have a budget for safety training.

Affordable safety is a concept which all high risk / high consequence organisations need to come to terms with. Safety is a non-tangible concept which does not readily transpose to the balance sheet. However, the results of a lack of safety awareness could potentially be quite considerable.

It is difficult to understand how an organisation would not budget for the ability to enhance its safety awareness. We are happy to discuss the benefits to your organisation of making an investment in safety.
